Respite Care & Short-Term Stays in Chester County, PA

A restful break for caregivers. A warm, welcoming stay for the person you love.

Caring for someone you love is a full-time job, even when you already have one.

Maybe you’ve been caring for mom for months and haven’t had a real night’s sleep in weeks. Maybe there’s a family wedding out of state, a work trip you can’t move, or a surgery of your own on the calendar. Or maybe you’re simply running on empty, and worried about how to take care of yourself and your loved one.

Family caregivers give everything they have, but nobody can pour from an empty cup. Taking a quick step away is sometimes the best way to insure the health and comfort of you and your loved ones.

That’s where Harrison House comes in. We offer superior respite care in Coatesville and the surrounding areas.

Why Families Trust Harrison House Chester County

Harrison House has been family-owned and operated since 1972, bringing more than fifty years of caring to Chester County residents.

Our community started as the neighborhood hospital and never lost its neighborly heart. Many of our team members have been here for decades (several even grew up right in Coatesville).

When you walk through our doors, you won’t get a corporate script. You’ll get people who answer call bells themselves and learn your loved one’s name on day one.

And because Harrison House Chester County offers a full continuum of care — with independent living, personal care, and memory care on one campus — your loved one’s stay is supported at exactly the level they need, even if those needs are complex.

For caregivers, that means rest, travel, recovery, and–most importantly–peace of mind. You can rest easy knowing the person you love is safe, engaged, and genuinely enjoying themselves.
